Recently XIAOMI has released ANDROID 10 update in India for its mobile set like: Note 7, Note 7 pro, Note 8, etc. However, many users complained about the update disappearing after few hours when not downloaded.

Actually Xiaomi's new Android 10's update is in testing phase so the company is releasing the update in patches(or groups). Every week a bunch of it's mobile sets receives the update and as the update is not mandatory so when not downloaded within 1-2 hours it disappears.
However, you should not worry as every week Xiaomi sends the update so if you missed the update this time you will soon get it in the next release after 3-4 days.

How to prevent the update from disappearing again?

The new update is of 2.0 GB and most of the users have the plan of 1.5 GB per day so it's not possible to download the update in one day, so will the update again disappear if not downloaded completely and will it start from beginning when resumed after we get the data?
So,the answer is no once you have started the update neither the update will disappear not it will start from beginning when resumed after you get your next day data.
So, it's best choice to start the update once you get so that it will not disappear from your device.
